This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving parents, family members, teachers, and the child. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that uninvolved parenting is characterized by low parental attention, supervision, communication, and emotional involvement. Parents mainly focused on fulfilling children’s physical needs, while behavioral guidance and emotional support were limited. As a result, the child spent more time outside the home and was easily influenced by the surrounding environment. Smoking behavior emerged through imitation of adults who smoked openly within the family and community environment. The study also found impacts on the child’s concentration, learning process, self-regulation, and physical growth. In addition, social and cultural environments that normalized smoking behavior strengthened the child’s perception that smoking was acceptable. Uninvolved parenting contributes to the emergence of smoking behavior in early childhood due to limited supervision, weak communication, and strong environmental influences.</p>2026-06-29T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainupwr.ac.id/index.php/Al_Athfal/article/view/1156PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATION OF CENTER-BASED LEARNING AT DAYCARE MOZAIK AL MECCA PATI2026-07-24T03:03:47+00:00Sumiyati Sumiyati[email protected]El Zahwa Aldis[email protected]<table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>This study is entitled "Philosophical Foundations of Center-Based Learning at Mozaik Al Mecca Pati Daycare." This research is important because the center-based learning model is the most widely used learning model in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the implementation of centers will depend heavily on the philosophical foundations used by the institution. This research method uses a phenomenological method by observing daily behavior and in a natural setting, through observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis is carried out through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification. The results show that the philosophical foundations used by each institution influence the center-based learning activities held. These philosophical foundations also have implications for stimulating aspects of child development, which include the development of religious moral values, language development, cognitive development, social emotional development, physical motor development, and artistic development. With different philosophies, the tendency for child development to be more dominant in certain developmental aspects.</p> <p><em> </em></p> <p> </p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>2026-06-29T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainupwr.ac.id/index.php/Al_Athfal/article/view/1134THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE GOVERNMENT, PARENTS AND TEACHERS IN PROVIDING SPECIAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS FROM EARLY CHILDHOOD 0-7 YEARS OLD AT SLB C BUDI ASIH WONOSOBO2026-07-24T03:06:30+00:00Mukaromah Efirahmasetiani Nabela[email protected]Hidayatu Munawaroh[email protected]Nugroho Prasetyo Adi[email protected]<table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>This study aims to analyze the implementation of uninvolved parenting and its impact on smoking behavior in a six-year-old child, as well as the social and cultural factors that strengthen the relationship between parenting patterns and early smoking behavior. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory design conducted at RA Al-Madina, Karanganyar, in April 2026. The research subjects were 30 children from Group A (ages 4–5 years) and Group B (ages 5–6 years), with the Head of RA and classroom teachers serving as informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation study, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, member checking, and persistent observation. The results indicate that the gymnastics activity employed Senam Sehat Gembira, a structured instruction-based gymnastics program that integrates explicit movement commands directly into its song lyrics, conducted routinely every week. Instructions were delivered through a combination of verbal, visual, and direct demonstration approaches that were simple and adaptive. This multi-sensory approach positively impacted children's balance, agility, eye-hand and eye-foot coordination, and movement synchronization. Supporting factors included teacher competence, children's enthusiasm, and a conducive school environment, while inhibiting factors encompassed the absence of written standard operating procedures and suboptimal parental involvement. This study confirms the importance of a systematic and well-planned gymnastics program supported by school-family collaboration to optimize gross motor development in early childhood. It also opens opportunities for further research on the effectiveness of Senam Sehat Gembira as a structured motor development medium in Islamic early childhood education institutions (RA).</em></p>2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainupwr.ac.id/index.php/Al_Athfal/article/view/1103DRUMBAND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AS AN EFFORT TO DEVELOP COOPERATION AND EARLY CHILDHOOD DISCIPLINE2026-07-24T03:18:00+00:00Alifah Ayu Hertiningrum[email protected]Serly Herlina Amanda[email protected]Dian Nur Fitria[email protected]Kurnia Kanahaya Maghfiroh[email protected]Annafi Nurul Ilmi Azizah[email protected]<table width="466"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="466"> <p>This study aims to explore the role of drumband extracurricular activities in developing cooperation and discipline among early childhood children at RA Bani Adam Boyolali. The study was conducted because cooperation and discipline are important character values that should be developed from an early age through enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. Previous studies mainly focused on motor development and musical abilities, while studies exploring the process of developing cooperation and discipline through drumband activities remain limited. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The participants consisted of the school principal, two teachers or drumband trainers, and 60 children participating in drumband extracurricular activities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with teachers and the principal, while observations focused on children’s participation, discipline, and cooperation during practice sessions. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that drumband extracurricular activities contributed significantly to the development of children’s cooperation and discipline. Children demonstrated improved ability to coordinate with peers, follow instructions, obey rules, arrive on time, and take responsibility during practice sessions. In addition, drumband activities positively influenced children’s confidence, communication skills, concentration, social-emotional development, creativity, and gross motor coordination. The implementation of habituation strategies and collaborative learning supported the development of positive character values among children. Drumband extracurricular activities can serve as an effective medium for character education in early childhood settings because they provide direct and meaningful collaborative experiences. The findings highlight the importance of integrating music-based extracurricular activities into early childhood character development programs. Future studies are recommended to investigate the long-term effects of drumband participation on children’s character and social-emotional development.</p> <p> </p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ejournal.stainupwr.ac.id/index.php/Al_Athfal/article/view/1178EARLY CHILDHOOD ART EDUCATION MANAGEMENT STUDIES AT RA MUSLIMAT NU MATHOLI'UL FALAH PRAJEGSARI TEMPURAN MAGELANG2026-07-24T03:22:49+00:00Yulianto Yulianto[email protected]Meilina Suryaningsih[email protected]<table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>(1) This study aims to describe the management of early childhood education in RA Muslimat NU Matholiul Falah Prajegsari Tempuran Magelang to improve the development of early childhood art aspects can be managed and developed optimally. In Sumberdalem Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency, most of the community works as hoe craftsmen with long working hours and heavy physical activity so that it has the potential to influence early childhood care patterns. Based on these conditions, this study aims to: 1) Determine the forms and patterns of care carried out by parents who work as hoe craftsmen towards early childhood in Sumberdalem Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency; 2) Determine the impact of the hoe craftsman profession on early childhood care; and 3) Determine the obstacles or barriers faced by hoe craftsmen parents in early childhood care. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted directly in Sumberdalem Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency. The research subjects were 10 parents who work as hoe craftsmen and have children aged 3-6 years. The selection of research subjects was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, namely the deliberate determination of informants based on certain criteria that are in accordance with the research objectives. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain in-depth data regarding the conditions of early childhood care in hoe craftsman families. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was carried out through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The results of the study indicate that: 1) The forms and patterns of parenting applied by hoe craftsmen's parents tend to be diverse, including permissive and democratic parenting patterns influenced by the level of education, economic conditions, and the intensity of parental involvement in childcare; 2) The profession of hoe craftsmen has an impact on early childhood care, especially limited interaction time between parents and children, physical fatigue after work, and less than optimal provision of educational and emotional stimulation to children; and 3) The main obstacles faced by parents in parenting include long working hours, physical fatigue after work, minimal knowledge about early childhood care, and limited time to accompany children to learn and play optimally. However, the profession of hoe craftsmen also provides positive values in the form of instilling an attitude of hard work, responsibility, and independence in children through the family environment and the parents' daily work activities.</p>2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
