Model Integrasi Pendidikan Islam dan Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Indonesia Den Haag
Abstract
The Indonesian School in The Hague (SIDH) is an educational institution that meets the needs of Indonesian children living in the Netherlands by combining Indonesia's national education principles with the local European context. The independent curriculum implemented at SIDH allows teachers and students the flexibility to adapt learning methods to their individual needs and capabilities. However, challenges arise in effectively integrating Islamic education within a diverse and secular environment like the Netherlands. This study explores how SIDH practices Islamic education in relation to the needs of Dutch students while remaining consistent with religious teachings. Additionally, the study identifies the challenges faced by the school in maintaining a balance between Islamic educational traditions and the more open, flexible, and independent approach of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum).
